The Yarn Ball is the 12th arc in Housepets!.

Plot

Max introduces Grape to some of the neighborhood cats, including Joey in a cat costume.

Later the Yarn Ball is held, and Grape and Max dance together while Fiddler & Keys play music.

Grape arrives home late, having nipped a bit, and falls asleep on Peanut.

Trivia

Smoking is bad for you kids!

• On January 5th, the 4th comic in the arc was pulled after about 9 hours, aborting the arc early. Rick decided that catnip referencing cannabis smoking was pushing the PG rating, later posting a small comic page with an explanation and that Housepets! would be taking a break for the rest of that week. Rick says that it is to be thought of as a terrible terrible alternate universe.
  • This is the first of three arcs to be aborted, the original story of The Arc Specifically About Being Naked was aborted due to computer failure, and All Hallow's Ween was aborted due to a medical emergency.
• This is one of two arcs that follows into the next year, the other being Snow Joke.
• This is the first arc to feature Joey's "catsuit", as first mentioned in Cat Tail.
